The 3rd Elder?s Day
  The 3rd Elder?s Day organised by The Ceylinco Sarana Fund was held at the Dikwella Resort in Matara on the 26th of March 2007. Elders from 8 homes in Matara and about 150 individuals with varied disabilities joined us on this memorable day.

  It's said that the biggest poverty in the world is not, not having a meal to eat or not having a roof for shelter, but the feeling of being left out, unloved and lonely.

In today's modern world our elderly population is seriously affected by the above fact. The modern so- called 'family unit' hardly has time together for at least one meal a day. In this context, how could they manage to take care of their own aging parents?
